Love that color

It’s hard enough to find color in the landscape this time of year that anything that doesn’t look dead is an eye catcher. I don’t know what sort of plant this is and don’t remember noticing it when it had leaves. It’s nestled into a nicely landscaped office area.

  1. Winter is that time of year when nature’s colours turn blah. If you see something colourful don’t pass up the opportunity to photograph it. Spring is still a long way off.

  2. Would you call that lavender? We have bushes that have similar berries but they are red berries. Pretty, though, whatever color!

  3. Hi Kay: Your purple berry shrub is: Callicarpa Bodinieri or “Purple Beauty Berry.”

  4. Ooooo – what pretty bush – I need one of those – we were just commenting yesterday on how drab things have gotten lately – that would surely spice things up.
