Eagles in 2016

Some of my favorite moments behind a camera are when it’s pointed at eagles. I caught these eagles in a disagreement over who got lunch — a dead seagull that they had no doubt hunted down together.

I was pleased to catch this eagle landing.

This eagle was simply being too regal to ignore on election day.

  1. You have an eagle eye! Beautiful shots. I love that first one. Would not want to get in between them, though! Happy New Year, Kay!

  2. Absolutely stunning shots! Don’t you just love living where there are Eagles? I saw 2 of them flying together in formation while walking at the Spit yesterday, right at eye level! I told my wife, “where is Kay when you need her?” Happy New Year to you!

  3. Bravo! People in SWFL are excited about two eaglets being born right now. The mother is Harriet, and there is a webcam that zillions of people around the world watch.

  4. How did I miss this wonderful post earlier? Great encounters and captures, Kay! That would be something else to see two eagles fighting over a meal. And, the Election Day eagle really makes me appreciate (yet again) that this is our national bird — and not the turkey! Btw, glad you’ve had a chance to check out the live streaming of the eagles here.
