Five

Fifth

You see a small, private celebration here. Me, a few tools of the trade, and a cupcake from That Takes the Cake. A tradition. Cupcake. Candles. A pat on ones back.

I started blogging on Sequim Daily Photo five years ago today. That’s 1777 posts in case you’re counting.

I didn’t know the first thing about blogging when I started. I’ve missed some days. I’ve wondered why the heck I’m doing it. I’ve gotten to know some wonderful other bloggers and still mourn a couple who’ve passed away. I’ve taken a lot of pictures. But here I am. If nothing else, it’s a good excuse for a cupcake.

  1. We have something in common… blogging and photography. I don’t always comment but I do look at your blog every day.

  2. Congratulations! 5 years? Time sure does fly! I have visited Sequim Daily Photo pretty much daily (including all the archives) since I first visited Sequim in August of 2010. You, Shannon, and the Lavender Lady had much to do with my move to Sequim.

    Thanks!

  3. I have enjoyed meeting you on CDP and appreciated very much your wonderful photos showing me your area of the country which is quite different than mine. Thanks for all you do and for being a friend. And congrats on your longevity – may it continue …

  4. Congratulations on a job well done! Yum, that much deserved cupcake looks delicious. Local bakery?

  5. Five years! Good for you, Kay. I tell people that the best reason to have a blog is that it can’t be done from the living room . . . we have to get out of the house and go somewhere in order to have some material. AND, when we are looking for material, we SEE more and better than when we don’t have a camera in hand.

  6. And, we are so fortunate that you have stayed with us during these years. I’ve learned a good deal about Sequim and your part of the world, and have enjoyed our cyber friendship as well. Don’t stop, even when images seem to be difficult to capture. . .like in winter months! Kudos for you and your blog!
