Independence Day

Flags

It’s Independence Day in the U.S.A. and Old Glory is being flown near and far.

I recently was told that our local Lion’s Club sets up and takes down flag displays like this around Sequim. I haven’t been able to verify that nor to find any details but it’s a rather nice service. It pains me to see flags flown improperly at night and in poor weather.

  1. I agree with you about the flag flying. It seems many of our “patriots” know nothing about the flag or how it should be flown…in our neighborhood people put up flags and forget about them.

I’ve never seen these kinds of crooked flagpoles, though. I’m assuming this is purposeful, right?

    Have a Happy Fourth!

  2. Happy Independence Day! Yes, I also am grieved when I see flags flown at night, with no light…or in the rain!!!! And some are flown by Veterans who should know better!!
