One of the many things I like about living with a mountain view is seeing how different the peaks look with changes in light and weather. This is one of my favorites, a misty look that airbrushes the crests into shades of soft grey that recede in the distance.

Oh I agree – love the softness – and then on sunny days love the sharpness – and on rainy days – the sogginess.
It is interesting to me to read your caption because that is the one major thing that surprised and delighted me when I first visited the Southwest. In fact, i am still enamored of the layered look of the mountain ranges.
