It’s become an event when we have a smattering of that weak, golden winter sunshine. Thursday progressed with rain, a shot of sun, more rain, drizzle, and then sun, piercing the grey, to end the day. Sun like that pulls me out the door, camera in hand, ever hopeful. “Look at that! Sunshine!” It’s silly, really.

Not silly at all. We’ve lived in cold country and the worst thing about winter was the perpetual grayness…sunshine, a rare commodity, made one jump for joy when it appeared.
How interesting, the colours seem more summery. Here it’s all green.

My goodness, I’d be doing the same thing if I were cooped up with my shutter finger itching to shoot something outdoors that didn’t involve precipitation.
