28…29…30

The deer must love a sunny day as much as I do, I was counting them as I saw them and I was over 30 when I got distracted from the counting.

  1. Hi Shannon…thanks for your very kind comments on the zebras in Ocala! It was surprising to see them. Kinda glad we got a heads up first or I might have driven right into a tree.

I love deer, too. We see a lot of them in Colorado when we visit our daughter, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen 30+ at one time. Such lithe, delightful creatures!

  2. We always enjoy our local deer…there had been so many of them…then someone got the bright idea of allowing bow-hunters in to “cull” the herds. Now we are lucky if we see one. NOTE TO SHANNON: referring back to “smiles” if you get the paper there is a great letter about smiles in the Dear Abby today. If you don’t get the paper I can scan it for you.

  3. Pat, thanks for the heads up on that column, what funny timing on that! I appreciate you letting me know about it. I do subscribe to the PDN and went to read it after reading your comment. At least I know I’m not alone in not being smiled back at sometimes. I love when you meet someone and they have a smile that just lights up their whole face. Or even the times when you run into someone who looks a little grumpy and hesitates to smile, but then they do.
This shot of the deer wasn’t the best, but I love watching them. It was so sunny and bright out it was hard to even see anything while taking the picture. The rain has come back today though, just sprinkles so far.
