This is gillnet fishing. The local S’klallam Indians are permitted to do it and they are catching silver salmon. Some of them have permits that allow them to sell to people who show up at the right time and they will do that once they’ve filled their market orders. We bought two whole large, delicious salmon on Saturday from this man’s brother. It’s overwhelming to have so much fish, but you can’t get anything fresher!
