Picnic area out at Dungeness Spit Rec Area. This area is enclosed in a little grotto type setting, but there are picnic areas out on the bluff by the water too.

You’re right — this is a wonderful spot. Though we usually walk here late in the day, we’ve only found it in use once or twice, and the areas on the bluff don’t seem to be used a lot, either. It’s a nice spot of heaven for anyone seeking it!
I love this pic….looks like it’s telling me “c’mon have a seat, open a beer and lets bbq!”
