Living North

2-40121.jpg

As we approach the shortest day of the year, a reminder of how much shorter they are in our region…as opposed to say, Dallas, TX.  This photo was taken at 2:40 p.m on December 1st.

PS…If you are local, stop in Karen’s Bernina shop.  Peggy, a fiber artist, will be there today with a trunk show of her work.  Peggy has followed this blog for awhile.  I look forward to meeting her.

  1. Are the days really shorter during Spring/Summer than in TX?. I believe that the further north you go, the longer the days are in Spring/Summer and the longer the nights are in Fall/WInter. True?

  2. I love that photo of the garden shed and the sun through the trees. It does remind us to stop and enjoy the long (or short) of our days, wherever we are. P.S. It was 7 degrees this morning in Stratford. The sun is out and shining now!

  3. Oh dear, oh my….. so sorry to have missed you on Thursday at the show. Karen said you were there in the afternoon, not long after I left. While in Sequim (home in Sacramento as of this evening – Saturday), I loved discovering the places in your photos. Next time, we must do lunch!
