I saw on the news last night that Seattle had set a new high yesterday – 102 degrees. Sounds like Oklahoma — except our high in Tulsa yesterday was 85 degrees. (Eat your heart out!)
I wouldn’t have believed the reports except that I heard it from a friend who just moved to Seattle with her family a couple of months ago. They are in a home with no air conditioning (unheard of here in Sacramento), and could not agree upon whether they should open doors and windows to let in any breeze that might be lurking about, or close up everything and hope for the best, reopening everything this morning.
I’m so sorry for your experience. Sacramento hit 86 degrees yesterday. Our 107 came last week!
It is too hot. We expect it here in Charleston but it must be shocking for you.
