The Old Elevator

elevator.JPG

At the corner of 5th and Washington, you will find an old grain elevator sprouting from the middle of a great Mexican Restaurant, El Cazador. Click on the links to learn more of Sequim’s agricultural past.

P.S. Besides having killer maragaritas, the food and service are also excellent.

Surprising this architecture, waouh….I adore. a beautiful photograph of this building. I wish you a good weekend

  2. Interesting usage of buildings in Sequim! I checked out the link to the restaurant hoping for some photos showing how the elevator part was incorporated into the restaurant architecture but there were no photos showing the tower from the inside. 🙁

  3. The service is not only great, but if you are a regular–we have been steady customers for many years now–the staff treats you like a member of the family. I am so predictable that my margaritas are almost on the table when I sit down. Great place to go!

  4. Norma, if you, like many Washingtonians, want to keep people from moving to your fair state you’re going to have to start posting some ugliness. Everything I see in your blog excites me and encourages me to think more and more about relocating there. I love to see old buildings re-used in new ways (didn’t I say that yesterday too?).

My brother, who lives in north central Oklahoma, told me he was just coming out of a grand funk after 17 days of non-stop rain there.

Best wishes to you, today and every day

  5. Your photo and Dennis’ comment are making me wish I were in Sequim right now. Have a nice weekend!

    Cheers from Boston.

  6. This building seems to me exactly like a church
I find even that it would be a nice church so high withe a kind of bell tower

  7. The gray of the old elevator makes it seem as if a black-and-white photo had invaded your color photo! Neat shot!

  8. What a really neat building! A great photo. If you crop the cars out, it would be a prize winner!
I also really liked the photo you posted of the rock and rusty iron machinery. That is a reall pretty shot.
Thanks for your comment on my theme day shot!
