Wild Rhody

Last month the wild rhododenderns were in full bloom. As you drove along, you would see splotches of pink against the green. It is a true sign summer is on it’s way in the Northwest.

  3. How gorgeous, Norma! I had to do a double take, though, when I read “wild rhody.” I guess you have to be in WA to have WILD rhododendron. Lucky you!

  4. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww these are OUR flowers! Our weddinganiiversary is June 3rd……………when these guys flower so well! Iremember our first holiday as a married couple……to the lakes……………………..seeing these……and hubby trying to dig one up with a wrench! LOL!

    Yes we need to get some! LOL!
    BUT……………………I will say…..keep watchinh my blog, as a local hotel has a fantastic collection!

  5. I agree with Ming. You captured the details in these lovely blossoms so very nicely. The stamens (I think that’s what they’re called) seem tipped with silver.

  6. Wild rhodos are growing too in these wonderful mountains Huangshan you know and they are no more blossomed too
    It was certainly gorgeous last month
    There are other flowers which will blossom next month !
    I was there just in between
    Never mind, it’s was nevertheless fine !
